Matthew Bakke

Matt Bakke moved to Southern Utah in 2022 and began teaching at Utah Tech in 2024. Prior to moving, he spent the better part of a decade working as a criminal defense attorney in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. He currently holds law licenses in Minnesota, Utah, and the United States Supreme Court. In following his passion, Matt made a change and put his focus into history and teaching. His research interests revolve around the topics of race, gender, and sexuality in twentieth century America, primarily in women’s sport.
